Anthropology and Environment Bibliography
(Note: Links to large html file)
This bibliography has about 3800 items in it, mostly collected from 2002 to early 2008 on the EANTH-L listserv (www.eanth.org), gleaned from syllabi on the e-anth site. We tried to verify and correct them all against sources of bibliographic information on the internet, primarily library and journal web sites.

Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership
The Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership, Inc.(IGEL)is dedicated to building and sustaining a diverse network of environmentally educated leaders to help resolve Georgia's environmental challenges. IGEL brings together leaders with a proven commitment to confronting environmental issues in our state and to sustaining and improving the health of Georgia's environmental resources.

Student Conservation Association
Tens of thousands of green professionals, from park superintendents to urban planners, can trace their start to SCA.  This is where college and high school students connect with nature, render hands-on service, gain new skills and perspectives, and launch a lifetime of stewardship.

SCA's mission is to build the next generation of conservation leaders and inspire lifelong stewardship of our environment and communities by engaging young people in hands-on service to the land.

Georgia Museum of Natural History
Eye on Conservation

Did you know that Georgia has one of the richest diversities of plants and animals in the country? For example, Georgia has more species of freshwater fish than any other state except Alabama and Tennessee. Some of these species are found nowhere else in the world!

By exploring this site, you will discover some non-game animals that have been identified as conservation priorities by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. The populations of these animals are in decline for one or more reasons and are being watched and managed by the Department of Natural Resources. Some of the species have been listed as threatened or endangered. Others are species that have not been listed yet but they are being watched for one or more reasons. The major threats to Georgia's wildlife as well as wildlife all around the world include the following:

Habitat destruction
Global climate change
Pollution
Unsustainable use
Invasive species
Disease
